The new Unpacked devices from Samsung, including the Galaxy Z Flip5 and Z Fold5 as well as the two Watch6 and three Galaxy Tab S9 tablets, recently went on sale in the first wave of markets. Apart from Samsung, other interesting deals are also available from Amazon, notably on Motorola foldables and bar phones, mid-rangers from different brands and relevant accessories. The official launch day of Samsung's latest foldable devices saw the end of pre-order promotions, but there are still some discounts customers can avail. Among them is the minimum trade-in offer for the Galaxy Z Flip5. Customers that trade in any Android smartphone will receive a $200 minimum value. To get the maximum trade-in value of $600, customers could consider trading in older devices that are merely collecting dust. Alternatively, customers can go through Amazon to get a $150 gift card.

Free storage upgrades were maintained for the Galaxy Z Fold5 and customers can now get a 512GB unit for the price of a 256GB one. The minimum trade-in offer of $200 is still effective with a max trade-in value of $1,000. Amazon, on another hand, neglected the free storage upgrade and is now offering a $200 gift card instead. Compared to a Samsung Galaxy S23+ (256GB), the price of a Galaxy Z Flip5 with the $200 trade-in offer could be similar or even lower. However, a Galaxy S23 Ultra for less than $900 offers better cameras than either of the foldables.

Apart from the Samsung Galaxy foldables, other smartphone options like the Google Pixel 7 and Samsung Galaxy A54 are also available at attractive prices. The Google Pixel 7, currently priced at $400, is $44 cheaper than the Pixel 7a. The Samsung Galaxy A54 is sold at $450 and has competitive features like a better screen and a larger battery with faster charging. Prime subscribers can get the phone for just $350. The OnePlus Nord N30, announced last month, is also worth considering. It provides 5G connectivity for under $300 and features a large 6.72" 120Hz IPS LCD.

For tablets, the new Amazon Fire Max 11 is deemed as a great value-for-money pick. It runs an Android version modified by Amazon and is available for just under $200. It features an 11” IPS LCD with stereo speakers and a reasonably swift MediaTek chipset. OnePlus Nord Buds 2, which costs half the price of the second-generation old Apple AirPods but does offer 25dB active noise cancellation (ANC), an IP55 rating, and up to 36 hours of playback with the case, is a viable option too for customers looking for TWS buds.

In the UK, discounts for Galaxy Z Flip5 and Z Fold5 are offered through a trade-in program with values varying on the phone's conditions. Other foldable options like Motorola Razr 40 Ultra and Moto Razr 40 are also available at less price than the Samsung foldables. Samsung also introduced new smartwatches and customers can avail a £50 discount on either Galaxy Watch6 or the Galaxy Watch6 Classic. Meanwhile, Samsung is currently offering trade-in discounts for the Galaxy Z Flip5 and Z Fold5 in Germany to attract more buyers.
