Samsung has expanded its Galaxy Enhance-X app from its beta phase, initially seen on the Galaxy S23 series, to a broad range of premium Galaxy smartphones. The app is now accessible via the Galaxy Store.

This new image editing application lets users freely customize and remaster their photos. It is especially useful in those moments when an otherwise excellent shot is nearly ruined by an unwanted stray shadow, lens distortion, or lighting imbalance. Powered by AI, Galaxy Enhance-X provides one-tap image enhancement and also the flexibility to adjust specific features like HDR and the Moiré effect. This allows users to bring out the best in all their photos.
Powerful and Precise Photo Editing Features
For times when a photo needs a general uplift, Galaxy Enhance-X's Magic feature is the solution. It makes comprehensive yet intuitive enhancements to your picture. Leveraging deep learning and AI, the Magic feature refines any visual noise, blur, and low details, significantly improving the image quality instantly.
Customizable Image Tools
Galaxy Enhance-X provides users with a wide range of tools for customizing their images. HDR, for example, analyzes highlights, shading, brightness, and contrast, expanding the image's dynamic range. The app also offers different levels of intensity — from 0 to 4 in HDR’s case.
The Upscale tool boosts the resolution of images under 1MP by up to four times for consistent, sharp detail. For precision targeting, Galaxy Enhance-X has functions like Fix Moiré and Remove Shadows. Fix Moiré smooths out repetitive patterns, while Remove Shadows eliminates unwanted shadows for bright, bold images.
Restoration and Enhancement of Old Photos
Galaxy Enhance-X is also capable of restoring and enhancing old or damaged photos with its Old Photo tool. While optimizing, Old Photo maintains face details such as expressions, exactly as they were in the original photo, resulting in a clearer and more accurate shot.
