This unique protection plan offers a variety of features, including basic coverage for screen repairs, accidental damage, and damage caused by liquids, with an annual subscription fee ranging from approximately 2.36 USD to 47.25 USD, depending on the device's valuation.

For users looking for extensive coverage that includes protection against theft or loss, Smart introduces Phone Protect+, with fees varying from approximately 3.40 USD to 68.09 USD annually, with the coverage amount and fee tailored to the device's worth.

The coverage offered by Smart Phone Protect spans a wide range, from approximately 94.51 USD to 1,890.25 USD, based on the selected Smart plan, and it notably covers both new and second-hand devices in good working condition, whether they were purchased directly from Smart or elsewhere.

Lloyd R. Manaloto, the Head of Prepaid at Smart, underscored the critical importance of mobile device protection, highlighting that smartphones are now integral to our lives for productivity and accessing essential services, making it imperative to protect these vital gadgets.

Jerome Y. Almirante, Head of Innovations and Digital Services at Smart, reiterated the affordability of Smart Phone Protect, assuring customers that achieving peace of mind does not have to severely impact their finances, as they can select a plan that best fits their device and payment preferences.

The partnership with Igloo, an InsureTech company, further strengthens Smart's commitment to providing rapid claims processing and device repair or replacement services, especially beneficial for users in Metro Manila with repair times as fast as 24 hours, significantly reducing downtime and inconvenience.
