The Redmi Note 12 series, which was launched in March this year, is reportedly set to have a successor soon. The Chinese smartphone company is said to be working on new phones, with the Redmi Note 13 smartphone recently spotted on the EEC certification website. This new device is speculated to be the successor to the base variant of the Redmi Note 12 series.

The Redmi Note 12 5G, launched earlier this year, is powered by a Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 SoC and features an AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. A report from TheTechOutlook suggests that a new Redmi smartphone, possibly the Redmi Note 13 5G, has been spotted on the EEC certification site. The device, bearing the model number 2312DRAABG, was also seen on the International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) website a few days prior. 

In addition to this, another Redmi smartphone with an unknown model number, 23090RA98G, has also been spotted on the EEC certifications site. However, the name of this device is yet to be revealed. The listing does not provide any details about the specifications and features of these purported smartphones, and the company has not yet disclosed any information about them.

The Redmi Note 12 series, which includes the Redmi Note 12 5G, Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G, and Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G, was launched in India earlier this year. These phones feature AMOLED displays with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and run on MIUI 13 custom skin out-of-the-box. 

The Redmi Note 12 5G is powered by a Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 SoC, while the top-end Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G and Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G are equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC. For optics, the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G packs a triple rear camera setup comprising a 200-megapixel Samsung HPX sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle camera with an f/2.2 lens and 120-degree field of view, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. It also features a 16-megapixel selfie camera on the front.

While the exact specifications of the Redmi Note 13 are yet to be confirmed, some reports suggest that it could come with a 6.7-inch AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 780G chipset, 8GB of RAM, and a 5500mAh battery. The device is also expected to run on Android 12. The main camera setup could include a 108MP primary sensor, a 16MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. The front camera might be a 24MP sensor. However, these details are based on speculation and the actual specifications may vary. 

The anticipation for the Redmi Note 13 series is high, given the success of its predecessor. With the potential improvements in specifications and features, the upcoming series is expected to offer enhanced performance and user experience. However, until official details are released, these remain speculations.
