On November 27, Redmi India confirmed that its latest budget smartphone, the Redmi 13C, would be launched on December 6, 2023. The forthcoming device, embellished with a Star Shine Design, marks the successor of the Redmi 12C, eagerly anticipated by the series' fans who appreciate its attractive blend of superior features and affordability.

Aptly described as a cosmic beauty, the Redmi 13C is expected to boast a sleek, elegant design. In addition to its aesthetic appeal, the phone is rumored to bring the best-in-class specifications for consumers.

Redmi, a subsidiary of Xiaomi, confirmed the December 6 launch date and provided a glimpse into the phone's design and camera setup. The Redmi 13C will be available in two striking colour options, namely Stardust Black and Star Shine Green. It is also slated to feature a 50MP camera, according to the official Redmi India website.

With the MediaTek Helio GT85 processor, the same as the Redmi 12C, the new smartphone is expected to sport an LCD 6.74-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate. Further, it may include a triple camera setup at the back, with a 2MP depth and 2MP macro camera supplementing the primary camera.

The reports suggest that the Redmi 13C could have up to 8GB RAM, 256GB internal storage capacity, and a long-lasting 5,000mAh battery with a rumored 18W fast-charging support. The device is also expected to operate on the MIUI 14 OS-based Android 13.

The Redmi 12C, currently priced at approximately $92 for 4GB+64GB, $112 for 4GB+128GB, and $126 for 6GB+128GB, is predicted to be in the same price range as its successor, the Redmi 13C. Accordingly, the Redmi 13C, which offers the same storage options as its Chinese variant, may be launched in India on December 6, 2023.
