Pixelworks, Inc., a leading provider of visual processing solutions, launched the newest model in its OnePlus series, the Ace 2 Pro smartphone. The phone boasts the Pixelworks X7 visual processor for superior display quality. This model follows the OnePlus Ace 2, which was met with tremendous acclaim and success due to its market positioning, flagship-level performance, and competitive pricing. The OnePlus Ace 2 broke sales records, selling out within the first 37 minutes after being launched exclusively on JD.com and Tmall. The OnePlus Ace 2 Pro model aims to continue this success, seeking to provide more effective, balanced power consumption for high frame rate gaming.

As the first IRX certified smartphone from OnePlus, the Ace 2 Pro model is designed to create in-depth visual quality improvements for many popular games. This is done by incorporating game content and device rendering capabilities into the design of the phone. The outcome is a more vivid, immersive gaming experience. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon® 8 Gen 2 mobile platform from Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., reinforced by 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1GB of UFS 4.0 storage. In addition, it features an ultra-fast 150W SUPERVOOC S charging technology and a 6.74-inch OLED display.

Staying true to the OnePlus brand, the Ace 2 Pro smartphone features an OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The Pixelworks X7 visual processor, part of the Super Frame Rate and Picture Quality Engine solution, is used to enhance the frame rate and visual quality for a superior mobile gaming experience. Louis Li, President of OnePlus China, commented on the partnership with Pixelworks, expressing the shared goal of bringing a comprehensive 120fps gaming experience to consumers, while also focusing on realistic viewing experiences and controlled power consumption.

Pixelworks' visual processor presents several visual display advantages in the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro model. The Ultra-Low Latency MotionEngine® (MEMC) uses advanced algorithms to relieve the load on the GPU during mobile gaming. It can boost the frame rate of the original content up to 120fps while maintaining a smooth picture quality. This processor has been optimized for over 100 popular mobile games. The Low Power Super-Resolution feature enables users to view games with boosted resolution throughout gameplay. The Extended Dynamic Range leverages Integrated LUT (Look Up Table) support to ensure optimal contrast by adjusting the tone-mapping to content of varying brightness. This function has been adapted to several games for optimal contrast quality, complimenting the feature of Absolute Color Accuracy which produces highly accurate color renditions at a Delta E value (an indicator of color accuracy) below 1.

Congratulating the release of the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro, Ting Xiong, President of Pixelworks China, highlighted the commercial success of its predecessor, the OnePlus Ace 2 smartphone. This success marked OnePlus' commitment to product quality and customer satisfaction. Furthermore, the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro smartphone’s support for 120fps mobile gaming on over 100 titles underlines Pixelworks and OnePlus’ combined investment in technology integration, which manifests in their shared commitment to the Super Frame Rate and Picture Quality Engine solution. Xiong added that Pixelworks will continue to work with OnePlus to meet users' viewing demands and improve visual quality and gaming experience on mobile devices.
