The new Apple iPhone 15 Pro that costs £1,499 has undergone the most arduous trial, quite literally. Not too long after its release on this very day as one of four new models from the tech giant, it was subjected to an unimaginably daunting drop test. A unit was hurled from a swift drift car zooming at 60 miles per hour by MailOnline's Shivali Best.
In spite of the phone's advanced design, featuring a modern titanium frame, one still would have feared for its complete destruction in such a hazardous experiment. Yet, this test had an astonishing outcome. The phone, cocooned in a Mous case, endured the harshest conditions and survived the ordeal without a single scratch.
This isn't the first time that Mous has conducted such valiant tests during iPhone's launch days – they have a history of executing audacious trials. Previously, they have launched an iPhone from a hot air balloon while in another instance, they dropped a device during a 60-foot high bungee jump, all in the name of robust testing.
Mous, the maker of protective phone cases, had their team get a head start in the day, visiting an Apple Store on London's Brompton Road bright and early to buy the new iPhone 15 Pro. They had the device then enclosed by a Mous Limitless 5.0 phone case and decided to set off to the Drift Limits racetrack in Hemel Hempstead. MailOnline's Shivali Best was handed the device for the ultimate testing, under suitably dramatic circumstances.
Right before the fear could creep in, Best was seated in the passenger side of a high-speed race car. A GoPro camera captured her tense expression as the car boosted into a full dash, expertly maneuvered by the driver. It took a few laps for Shivali to muster the courage to toss out the phone from the car window that was speeding at a high velocity. The car came to a screeching halt as the team at Mous wondered if their protective case saved the iPhone from the brash adventure.
To their satisfaction, and Best's relief, the phone was found in an unblemished condition. Despite the case and screen protector having been visibly impacted, the iPhone 15 Pro itself remained intact. Mous has excelled in creating a cover that uses their AiroShock technology and augments it with raised edges around the phone. This provides full-scale 360-degree protection to the device, impressively guarding the screen from every possible angle.
After the hair-raising drift car test, Mous decided to push the boundaries further. They involved Drift Limits' F1 driver, Lewis, who was in control of a genuine Jordan EJ12 F1 car, to conduct the trial. As he raced around the track, an iPhone 15 Pro was projected into the air and then plummeted back heavily onto the track. Once again, the Mous protective case proved its worth and ensured that the phone remained in perfect working order. Mous enjoys an illustrious track record of staging similar antics during iPhone launches, building their reputation and customer confidence in their products.
