Although the official release date of these smartphones in India is yet to be announced, HMD has assured that its self-branded line will make its way to the Indian market soon. The company has scheduled an announcement on Monday, April 29, to reveal the name of the first HMD smartphone set to be launched in India.

In a recent update on X (previously known as Twitter), HMD India shared their plans to unveil the name of their inaugural self-branded smartphone for the Indian market on April 29. As of now, no additional information about this eagerly awaited model has been disclosed. However, more details are expected to surface in the days leading up to the official announcement. There is speculation among tech enthusiasts that one of the HMD Pulse series smartphones, which was recently introduced in Europe, may be the first to enter the Indian market.

With only two days remaining until the name reveal, HMD India expressed urgency and a sense of humor regarding the naming of their first smartphone for India, suggesting that they might still be in the decision-making process. The HMD Pulse is available for approximately $152 (USD) and comes in three color options: Atmos Blue, Dreamy Pink, and Meteor Black. The HMD Pulse+ is set to captivate the market with its Apricot Crush, Glacier Green, and Midnight Blue variants, having a price tag of about $174 (USD). The premium HMD Pulse Pro can be acquired in Black Ocean, Glacier Green, and Twilight Purple, priced at approximately $196 (USD), illustrating HMD's commitment to offering a range of products that cater to different consumer preferences and budgets, while also emphasizing environmental consciousness and self-repair capabilities.

The HMD Pulse and the HMD Pulse+ are equipped with Unisoc T606 SoCs and Mali-G57 MP1 GPU, boasting up to 6GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. These models feature Android 14, 6.65-inch 90Hz LCD screens, and 5,000mAh batteries capable of 10W charging. The base model includes a 13-megapixel dual rear camera setup, whereas the Plus variant features a more advanced 50-megapixel dual rear camera configuration. Both models are complemented with 8-megapixel front cameras, ensuring a comprehensive photography experience for users.

The HMD Pro model elevates the experience further with its 6.56-inch HD+ display, powered by the same Unisoc T606 SoC but with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It boasts a 50-megapixel dual rear camera setup alongside a 50-megapixel front camera sensor, supported by a 5,000mAh battery with 20W fast charging capabilities. Although the newly introduced HMD Vibe model is currently only available in the US market with a price tag of $150 (approximately), its availability in India remains uncertain.
